Advice for Australia Sydney for 8 weeks December

Hi

Also do I need a visa ?

No. Just to apply for an before you leave. (It's free, and allows you to stay in the country for up to 3 months per visit for tourism (or business) purposes.)

Nice one

Im going a similar time to you (8th Dec) but i have less than 4 weeks to try and squeeze in as much as i can. Things that have been suggested to me

Sky Dive
Whitsundays
Fraser Island
Zoo's - There's ones all over but think im going to one in Brisbane
Byron Bay - I want to do a Kayak which apparently involves dolphins
Whalewatching
Bondi Beach at Christmas im told is good and looks awesome
Sydney Harbour for New Years is supposed to be good

Thats a few things i've looked at and of course a few things will take my fancy as i travel down the East Coast im sure
