Hey, me and a friend are plannin on goin in the end of September where heading straight to australlia... Not sure really where to start tho this is our first time travelling this far... We were thinkin of Melbourne.... But trying to get info on where would be best to start off...

To be honest I have been looking at starting in Melbourne, seems a nice place to start! We are looking at internal flights as we have friends over in Perth which is the opposite side!
Have you made any plans to cover NZL?

I'm from Dublin how about u? Yeah we want to travel around australlia too the internal flights seem to be cheap enough which is good, now where just workin out wether it's cheaper to rent or stay in a hostel, but maybe a hostel is better to stay in too meet other people there, were goin to travel to dubai and straight to Melbourne, nervous and excited at the same time :/

I've had a look and internal flights are around £100 which is really good, STA Travel have some really good flight deals on at the moment, if you don't already know!
We are looking at taking a different approach and looking into renting a campervan for 3/4 months of the 6.. Seems a good idea to explore and be able to go where ever we want!.. We just need to add the costs up to see if its effective or not!
We are the same to be honest! Excited about the opportunity. Whilst nervous about the problems that may come with it!!

That sounds good well we went into usit it's a visa place over here and we were asking about accommodation but they advised us to go straight to a hostel when we arrive there... Sounds like what everyone does but freaks me out a bit having nothin organised only a flight :/ yeah it's /Karen.power.79 that's me username

Im going alone, going october, looking at stopping in thailand for 4 weeks then onto oz,
not sure where to fly to yet, as have a friend in perth so may go there first then onto melbourne and sydney as want to be in sydney for xmas and new year
then travel up the golden coast. but dont want to plan too much as ive heard plans never work out, so im confused in what to actually do?

I'm going alone on the 18th of October! Staying in Sydney until after New Years then heading up the east coast hopefully working and travelling for a year. Cannot wait, I have been watching endless episodes of Bondi Rescue aswell because I'm so excited!!

Hey Lauren an dano, I know it's really exciting, I'm just worried giving up my job to go but if I don't do it ill be sorry, just hope it as good as everyone says I'm sick of looking at people's pictures on Facebook and thinkin I need to be there!!! In not goin anywhere before oz just have to get a connecting flight in Dubai... Only plan so far is Melbourne then take it from there really where are you's from?
