I am looking to spend 1 month in Central America tover December 2013.
Central America has 7 countries stretched out over thousands of kilometres between Mexico and Colombia. Bus service varies wildly, but you can get to almost anywhere.
The entire area has been a backpacker destination for decades so all the sights are extremely well documented in a multitude of guide books, blogs, travel forums, etc. It's not difficult to research the basics, then you can come back with specific questions.
