Absolutely false.
The GoPro is just about the most successful camera in history but it is not used by most travellers to capture their journey. Smartphones and Point & Shoots take the VAST majority of still travel photos and video.
That said, in the proper hands in certain circumstances the GoPro takes some amazing video and in the right situation its still shots are okay too.

ill take a look now, i love how they are just throwing around a 200 pound camera lol . Gopro = well built
Haha took me a while to realise you meant £ and not Lb!
They're made for thrashing around on dirt tracks and in the surf, so playing catch on the beach is probably the softest thing to do with one.
