holiday in Ukraine

Anyone who has experience with holiday in Ukraine? Im thinking especially
of Kiev, Odessa and Lugansk. Is it a most to speak Russian or ....?

To a traveller Ukrainian and Russian are the same language. Knowing some Russian language will be a big help - or at the very least getting a grasp of the Cyrillic alphabet to cope with signs and menus.

I can speak Russian fluently so you say that communicating language won't be a problem for me good thank you

Oh in that case you will have no problem :-) We coped, as five English speakers and only me with some Russian from evening classes - ie NOT fluent! But a lot of the people were friendly and patient.

I don't know if there will be any tension against some nationalities now because of the Crimea situation? Perhaps if you are Russian or sound Russian.

I'm not Russian I'm Georgian and I hope for this summer situation will be more peacefull cause now going to Ukraine I guess seems a bit terrifying
