I'm just finishing up my 1st year of WHV and hoping to extend for my 2nd so fingers crossed. I'm new to this website and I just posted a thread was nosing around and noticed you asked same questions about the greyhound thing.
I'm also gonna do the East Coast but Cairns to Gold Coast early June so I think we might miss each other but maybe we'll meet another day elsewhere
I spent most of my time working down in Melbourne it's the best city ever. Highly recommend it. Weather is very unpredictable but it's not too bad.
Hostels are all pretty decent over here and you generally get a lot of choice. When you're wanting to stay in big cities or popular tourist areas but ahead as they fill up pretty quick. If you're staying for a few months working I recommend renting short term a shared apt or something it's much nicer and doesn't cost much more.
