Looking for companion(s) for a £0 cost Hitchhiking trip

Starting from England/ Hertfordshire. (Or anyone giving lifts to Dover/Anywhere in France from near(ish) me)

UPDATE:
I will be, Starting from England/ Hertfordshire. Then riding my bike or walking to the "South Mimms service station" to start the hitchhiking adventure! So, if anyone is on the way or near(Ish) me i would love to meet up and start the journey!

Good luck mooching free transport out of the UK and good luck talking foreign Embassies into giving you free Visas.

Have fun.

Cheers,
Terry

Sorry for the late reply i just went out for a couple of days to test my theory of "Hitchhiking/Mooching" in the UK. And all i have to say it is possible and it works reasonably well. (Unless i was super super lucky) So yeah that works.

Another thing is i met a few fellow hitchhikers on the way and they said that it doesn't actually cost anymore for the ticket across the channel as long as you claim for the amount of people and the amount of people doesn't exceed maximum people per vehicle and people are willing to help out. (Sometimes might be harder but, defiantly possible)

Last thing. As a citizen of an EU country, you can visit, live, work and study in any other EEA country for as long as you wish without a visa.
Here's the EU site with all the info you may need.
http://europa.eu/youreurope/citizens/index_en.htm

Thanks to yahoo.

My point was that no one with two brain cells is going to take a stranger across an international border in their own personal vehicle. The legal liability is daunting.

And yes, border crossings are a no brainer if you're going to restrict yourself to only the EU and destinations where they're not required.

Good luck and have fun.

Cheers,
Terry
