Welcome to India, you will be visiting during cold climate that part of our country.Please explain your interest in case you want visit nature Himalayas will be ideal but lower part like 1) Simla, 2) Manali In Himachal Pradesh), you can reach by bus or by train 1) You can reach with toy train or reach Chandigarh from there you can move by bus to 2) Manali or you can come from 1) to 2) by bus.
3) Rishikesh foot hill of Uttrakhand (Himalayas), you can reach there by bus/train.
Indian railway is having a network through out of our country, you can consult and book your seat through internet. http://www.indianrail.gov.in/
Indian Tourism you can access through internet.
