Australia 2015

Hey guys. I'm 25 and looking for a travel buddy for Australia sept 2015....up for suggestions on route but will be doing all of the gold coast hopefully working aswell so can enjoy life out there. Been to Australia before on holiday staying in hostels so got some knowledge of best placed locations finding work etc. Also open to popping to Thailand for a month to say I have done it.

Your plan is pretty much identical to mine but I can't go any earlier than January! Good luck finding a travel buddy. What places do you think are best for finding work? X

Surfers Paradise is meant to be good. Can always go Sydney to earn good money for a bit I was told Gumtree is a good way to find work also registering with Back packers agency they find work for you

Hey
Im heading out to oz in October. Starting in Sydney and then taking things from there. Would also like to travel New Zealand whilst out that way. Are you going to Sydney first? Do you have flights booked? Im so excited to meet new people and get away from England for a while

Hey guys I'm heading out to Aus end of July, I've got a job based in Sydney already but I'm on my own & would like to meet fellow travellers

I'm thinking of flying to cairns and then working my way down the gold coast but I'm happy to go with the flow just want someone to go with that's pretty laid back. If anyone wants to add me on Facebook and we can discuss plans its sophie mobberley. I'm wearing a black dress and I'm with my brother in a purple shirt. look forward to discussing plans xx

Hey,

We live in Aus and are currently travelling around at a very slow pace. if interested see

Australia is an amazing country if explored properly.

Tips are.

Take it slow, no need to travel 1000's km in a day, all you see is highway and spend a heap of fuel.

The tourist attractions in broachers are generally overrated #@!#. Talk to the locals in any town, they know what is worth seeing.

Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, are just big cities. IMO cities are cities, spend time in the outback it really is an amazing place if explored properly.

The most important of all download Wikicamps to your phone. This is the free camping app that we all now use and will save you heaps of coin.

As for work... well mining is bust, the 100k a year jobs for driving a truck are gone and unemployment is reaching very high levels. But there will always be work for hard-working underpaid, backpackers.

If you like scuba diving you should check out Ewen ponds in SA. https://vimeo.com/121974017 Amazing freshwater lakes. Heaps of cave diving in the area if that is your thing... certainly is not ours.

Anyhow let us know if you want further info or tips.
