Long term travel insurance valid globally

Hello,

I know that the owners of Travellerspoint have used world nomads personally, and were happy with them, thus ended up partnering with them for many years. They're one of the big brands in this space, and I can't recall ever having heard a negative story about them. No personal experience, though.

Where you are actually a resident of is kind of important in this context, as there are a lot of insurance companies that only work for people departing from that country.

World nomads has a good reputation and are available to people from all over the world which is why you also hear a lot more about them than some of the other companies who might be only available to Australians for example. Also, depending on where you're from and where you're going, what pre-existing conditions you might have, some things may not be as important in your insurance.

Thanks for your replies and good feedback on worldnomads. We are from two countries: Lithuania and Turkey. The countries we are going to travel to are not fixed, only the regions. Local insurance providers were offering options with many limitations, like you can get a yearly insurance, but the duration of one trip should be no longer than 30 days or you shouldn't be travelling to countries not recommended by Foreign Affairs Ministry. So we decided that we cannot be sure if any of the local insurances would be working fine and decided to go for a global one. I was only wondering if there are any good alternatives to worldnomads to compare the price / package. But seems no alternatives and we will then go for worldnomads.
