trip feedback - Oz, Vanuatu & New Caledonia

Hi

Is this the final list of destinations or do you want some more suggestions? Was just going to throw Nan Madol in as a suggestion but that might mean a change of route.

Tasmania is a beautiful place to visit - the main attraction is nature though. If you are into hiking, this place is magnificent. If not, you can still enjoy some of the beautiful day walks. In particular, not to be missed is the view of Wineglass Bay on the east coast. If you want to camp, there's a fantastic campsite down by the beach there with a creek on one side and the bay on the other - complete with wallabies coming up to your tent.

Vanuatu is going to be in recovery mode from the cyclone a month or so ago. Based only on the , the blue hole on Santo Island would definitely be on my list of things to see

Hi Peter

Yes this is a final routing. Flights booked and the Pacific section is by ship so I don't get to vary it. I travel in six months time so hoping that gives some time for cyclone recovery; I realise the coral won't recover that quickly but I long ago decided if I let disasters put me off I'd never end up going.

For Tassie I am indeed into the outdoors and have booked onto a 7 day backpackers' bus tour which appears to give a number of options most days to go walking. Wineglass Bay is one of the stops and a friend has previously recommended it.

In each of the Pacific islands my plan is to just seek out the best snorkeling, since I haven't yet come across any specific must -sees above ground, but I'm open to ideas.

Thanks :-)
