I've got accom booked until 5th in Sydney - want to go to blue mountains and hunter valley along with all the normal sights, then I'll be heading up the east coast!
How are you getting between places - flying/greyhound or..?
I go to NZ on 2nd feb for 4 weeks - just planning that at the moment it's all so exciting isn't it!!
Blue Mountains are at the top of my list! I haven't read up on hunter valley yet. And ya all the big Sydney stuff especially surfing at the beaches and checking out the harbour.
Ya I'm flying to get around. So little time and so many places!
I'll be all over the north island the end Jan and beg of Feb. So much to do in NZ!!!
Where are you staying at in Sydney? I still need to book a place.

I'm staying in a hotel near the rocks - wish I had a hostel booked but it was already booked and now circumstances have changed!! Not ideal to meet people - hence the messages on here as a start!!
Where have you been looking to stay? Most places have min night stays over new year which is annoying because like you say, it's so huge to travel around that you need all the time you can get!!!!
Never been before but a coworker lived there for a year and gave me the run down. I Researched a bunch online and found some really good blogs. Part of me wishes I were spending my whole trip there instead of splitting it with Australia there's just so much to do in NZ like the Zorb and bungee jumping!
Me and a buddy are running a race by Rotorua. Just so happens that's close to a bunch of other cool stuff (: like white water rafting!
Funny, I haven't researched places to stay in Sydney at all but I need to get on that soon ... Like tonight!

I am thinking the opposite at the moment with oz and NZ, don't seem to be getting into the spirit with NZ as much!!

I've just been looking at Australia for so long and looking forward to getting some serious sun!!! NZ I have seen some cool things to do and I'm looking forward to the activity side of it but loads of people keep saying "it's just like England" which isn't what I am going to the other side of the world for?!!
Also people keep saying that I need to travel about in a campervan - which, travelling on my own, sounds a bit boring and size restrictive (I'm nearly 6ft!!! Ha ha))

I'm arriving in Sydney on 1st Dec then staying until after xmas and new year so will be there when you arrive think I will also be planning to go up the East coast then.
