Hello!Im going to be in India myself July-August, planning on squeezing as much as we can in during this time!If you fancy chatting India stuff send me a message!

Thanks for the advice. I will definitely check those places out in my guide books! If anyone else has any advice that would be great- especially about the fact that it's going to be August...... I'm worried about Monsoons!
Thanks!

Bombay, Kerala (may be even Goa) may have issues due to monsoon.. If you are ready to stand the heat, Rajasthan could be a good place. They hardly get any rain anyways Part of Gujarat called Kutch could be a good bet too.

Without any worry you can tour Tamilandu state in August. No rains during this period as the rainy season starts only from mid Oct.

Suggest you to arrive in Chennai and visit places like touristic places like Thanjavur, Madurai and then you can travel to Kerala state.By then monsoon would receed in Kerala. If you still have time, youc an visit in Karnataka like Mysore city.

If you need more information, let me know.

Naive as It may sound, but how extreme are the monsoon seasons? We are going to be touring all up the west coast, into rajasthan and across to Calcutta before heading into Nepal. Is it going to be feasible to battle through in these places as we dont really want to change our route too much?

During 3rd week of May onwards,Kerala state will have rainy(monsoon) season.June and July too is the rainy season. As you move up the weste coast, you will follow the rainy season. Delhi has rainy season from early July.
Suggest that finish your trip at Nepal first and comedown to west coast so that you will experience a better trip.

Hey, your trips all sound facinating!

I need a bit of advice myself? We are planning to go to india in April, for about 2 months. Then on to Thailand... We want to see Nepal and Tibet as well, the origional plan was to fly into Mumbai and down south, then up north to Nepal, Tibet....
But after a lot of thinking we think we will not have enough time as my brother has to be in uni by Sept and we want to see Thailand etc as well!

Does any one have any advice for the best places to go to? a good route to take?? to make the most of our indian experience?!!

Thanks

HAn x
