Don't bring any work clothes, buy them here. In Melbourne you can put together a great office outfit for $100.
Do bring your favourite jeans,a fleece or warm jacket and various short and long sleeve tops.
Don't forget swimwear!
Don't forget your crocodile net and spear in case you meet any pesky crocs up there!
You forgot the drop bears
the best things to take are comfortable clothes,flat shoes n cool clothes for cairns,it's not like Melbourne or syd were ppl get dresses up,good luck It will be fantastic !!
Hey, yeah I'm going in sept for a year , do some fruit picking so get an exstension
Yeah , I'm going to take a 55 Ltr ruck sack with clothes, ipod and blackberry.
Start off in Perth and work my way round the top of oz hopefuly land in syd and do office work keep money rolling,
Then move along the south going back west . I haven't a clue how long it will take,
But its going to be done lol , feel for my feet haha. Helps I have mates placed all round oz.
One pair of jeans, a warm top, then a couple of tshirts and vests, and shorts. People get quite dressed up in sydney but cairns its really backpacker oreinted so you can get away with being a bit more casual. Flip flops will be your most poular shoe. Then maybe a pair of pumps for work and a pair of trainers. Bring heels or some stylish sandals for nights out! I say embrace the flats! Give your feet a break!!!

Of course you need to pack your clothes and shoes. Don't forget to bring some medicine in case you're not feeling well. Always travel light and lastly don't ever bring jewelries and expensive things especially if your not familiar with the place.
