Hi there fellow travellers, I am currently in Koh Tao at the minute on my round the world trip. I am planning to travel to Phuket for 1 week or so before I fly from Phuket to Singapore. I would like to know what would you recommend that I do in Phuket. I would like to go to Phi Phi for a while and maybe even Krabi- are these places worth it?

firstly im so jealous,ive just returned back from asia 3 weeks ago,all i can think about is getting back out there..
all i would say is if your on a tight budget id spend as little time as possible there..nightlife is good,beaches are average but apart from that theres not alot else there to do that you wouldnt of already done in ko tao and other places in thailand..maybe ud be better going down to phi phi for a few days,then returning to phuket to catch your onward flight!!!!

Phuket is so popular and expensive, I vote you get out of there and hit i as soon as possible. Then ferry over to , hit , , then back for your flight.

I would skip Phuket, its not a great place to be. I agree its expensive and very boring too. As already advised, head over to Pi Pi. Have a safe trip.

Kevin, Not this time of year. I would show up and see what is available in your price range. Here is listed here on TP 'Accommodation'.
Thanks for the helpful advice I am now going to get a bus from Phuket to krabi an stay there for a night or 2. Then I will head to phi phi from krabi on the start of may as accommodation seems cheaper in may. Should I pre book the bus to krabi from Phuket and the ferry from krabi to phi phi or can I jst turn up?

This time of year, you can just show up and get on the bus or ferry. Any travel shop in Phuket can book a bus or van to Krabi. Or get yourself over to the bus station and buy a ticket. Buses leave every hour, starting at 7:00am.
