SleepBot listings failure

Hi,
I noticed that has one accommodation and it is linked to the page, but it doesn't show up.
The same applies for Jackson, Wyoming (linked to Jackson Hole): no accoms listed in the article, despite the linking.
Michael

Hmm, I wonder if this is a cache based thing? For example the link on the West Sussex page goes to that works for me. And on the page I don't see any accommodation listings. Either a cache thing, or sleepbot did another round of the guides after you posted this. Stealthy little bugger that is

I'm guessing the SleepBot is sleeping.

That's because West Sussex is the name he recognizes, while Jackson is linked with Jackson Hole (there was no Jacksone, but it's sometimes mistakingly also called Jackson Hole, referring to the wider area). I thought it would be good to link it that way.

Ah, so you mean the page should link to this ? The matching up of articles with accommodation is actually separate to sleepbot and a script we run from time to time. In this case, the script would not be able to figure out these two places are the same (are they?) so it would never automatically match these two. But if they're the same I can of course do this manually

That's the case: I did that already, when editing the article. When you edit it now, you see below the article that the accommodation list is linked to Jackson Hole, so sleepBot would then automatically link Jackson Hole to the Jackson article. The linking is what we (tp member) should do, the automatic update is what sleepBot does.
Am I wrong?

Hmm, I don't see that? You mean an accommodation table? If those are added in, then yes, I think sleepBot will come by and make sure the list is up to date if something changes on the accommodation side. However that's not what adds the links that are on the right hand side, ie. "1 budget hotel in Jackson" for example. There's another script that runs to do that, and it's that script that is used to automatically add the introduction from the guide to the accommodation page for example. That's also why for example on the there is no links on the right to the relevant pages in the accommodation area. There's also no introduction on the Trinidad accommodation page, but that wouldn't have been noticed anyway, as there is no introduction to that article.

Yes, it's confusing. I wonder if we could set the articles to auto-link up when a member adds an accommodation table as well. That would solve the cases where our script can't quite figure it out!!

Ok, I noticed, I was almost positive I did that while editing the Jackson article earlier this week.
Did it again now, and it worked..
Still confused about the West Sussex one though

Hmm yes, now I see what you mean! Will have to ask Pete about that, but I think sleepBot is off the hook for that one. Think it might be peteBot that's to blame

Looks like a bug to me. The SleepBot is meant to be triggered when you change the location, but it's clear that that part didn't work, because there's no sleepbot showing up in the article's history. I've just set the sleepbot going on that article manually and it did add the property as expected.

Sam, the linking has actually changed - what Utrecht says is right:

When you edit it now, you see below the article that the accommodation list is linked to Jackson Hole, so sleepBot would then automatically link Jackson Hole to the Jackson article. The linking is what we (tp member) should do, the automatic update is what sleepBot does.

It's described in the thread.

But anyway, something failed, because it should have run after making that link.
