unfortunately iv got no advice for ya because i too an new to the traveling world. i am planning on traveling starting aug in thailand. it would be cool to meet up if our paths cross and get to know ppl. the thought of traveling on my own scares the crap out of me lol

Canada is my recommendation. In the East, Niagra Falls is amazing, but nothing beats the Rockies. I flew into Calgary a few years ago and then stayed in Banff, Jasper and a few other places before arriving in Vancouver on the West coast. All three are great places to visit if you get the chance. Depending on the time of year you'll get a good chance to see wild bears, coyotes etc.
