Hi, it's me again.
The "Manage" tab of your blog management area has a little dropdown icon next to it. If you click on that, you get a dropdown of things you can manage, one of which is "Links". Adding a link there allows you to add links to the sidebar of your blog. (I hope they'll actually show up for you, as I remember there being some restrictions on minimum number of blog entries before links would show up, to prevent this from being used by spammers, but I don't remember the details.)
