Sorry for the first post, im a UK citizen and have a UK passport, until today i didn't notice my passport expires 13th March, i have a holiday planned 27th Feb till 6th March in Lanzarote.
Yep, the info you got is true.
Just pray that you will be back by March 13th (no strike, no accident, etc) or you'll have the "pleasure" of getting travel documents from the UK representation in Lanzarote.
