Hi, my name is Danielle and I just joined this site.
We were in Punta Cana last August. Two families with 17-20 year old kids. We booked a trip online before we arrived with -snip-. Charlie is the co-owner and was our guide. He met us at our hotel with our transportation...real sand buggies. They seat two or four and you drive. You have to know how to use a stick shift. They only take groups of about 4 buggies, so it is very personal.
We had the most amazing time ever. We went all over to a beach, to a cave for a swim, got coconuts from the locals, went on all these dirt, muddy roads!! It was a blast!!! You must take old clothes if you go.
We had so much fun we booked Charlie for another whole day and went on an all day trip up the coast. It was the HIGHLIGHT of our vacation.
Thanks so much for your reply, I look at that excursion and it seems like a really fun thing to do, you meet locals and my boyfriend would absolutely love the buggies!
