Hi I finish doin camp america on the 14th August and I was hoping to travel from NY to philadelphia and washington DC before making my way over to the west coast to visit Vegas, San Fran, San Diego and LA before flying onto Fiji. I just really wanted some advice on the best way to get around, a possible route and any good places to stay along the way. I'll be on a backpackers budget so any money saving tips would be super!

have you looked into travelling with Trek America. Its very Popular with people who do Camp America. I went last year with a few friends it was the best experience ever. There are a large number of treks to choose from. We did the Northern Trail from NY to LA
The best one for you would be the souther sun which starts from NY it will go through wash dc, vegas and LA and a number of other southern states. Works out around £1300 for but then the added costs are for food kitty and activities however it gives you the opportunity to meet great friends for life and to see alot of USA.We had so much fun camping together.
We travelled NY, Wash DC and Philly for two weeks before we started trek and found it to be costly with buses eating out etc we were so glad to have done the trek its less hassle with finding your way. Check it out! any questions about it let me know!
