Three in one soap?

I want a three in one body wash/shampoo/laundry soap to cut down the excess size in my shower bag. I used to travel with a shampoo and a conditioner and a cake of body soap and clothes washing detergent.
Over the past 37 years of annual overseas travel, I have reduced this to a shampoo/conditioner combined, a liquid body wash and a small bottle of strong concentrated washing detergent.
I have tried to 'buy local' but the last three trips have been to the Middle East and Central Asia and it was a nuisance buying a local large bottle of clothes detergent - there were no 'small' options - for a 3 week trip when I was only washing my clothes every couple of days.
Please note - not because I had an extensive wardrobe, but because I was on an archaeological dig project and the work shirt and work cargo pants were on a regular daily recycle program and the socks, knickers and bra were turned inside out and lasted two days before changing. I was with a mixed group of 12 so there were no concerns with ‘smelly clothes’ - we were all practising the same recycle program.
Any suggestions for a three in one soap to meet these needs?

I think shampoo/condition/bath soap would be ok. But not the detergent. You see, the skin and the clothes have different needs. The skin is better with soaps with vitamin E or those fragrant ones. The clothes need the detergent that might be too strong to use on the skin. Body soaps/baths are also too mild for washing clothes.

Hi

Lifeventure does a 3-in-1 bottle (nice and small too) which I used for hand-washing clothes (before it ran out!) - you can buy it in all the big outdoors shops or online. It can be used for clothes, dishes and for washing yourself, although I only used it for clothes and it was fine. Maybe worth a look?

Hey

Get yourself to Lush if you're in the UK! Ignore the smell as you enter the shop and persevere lol. They do a good range of solid shampoo & conditioner bars that are suitable for washing clothes and even shaving your legs too. I purchased one a while ago to try out and I was really impressed- didn't dry my hair out like I'd expected and I have fussy hair lol! They are small, puck shaped a few inches in diameter and comes in a little tin. I've been raving about them since I tried it lol! They do 2 in 1 bars or seperate shampoo & conditioner bars.

They're not for everyone as I guess a lot of people dont like the idea of it being solid but they lather up pretty good and last for ages at a good price

Hope this helps some!

Sarah

Lush is a great place for getting solid soaps/shampoos/and conditioners. The best thing about them is you can carry them on the plane.

If you want to cut down on what you take, I personally use shampoo for my hair, body wash, and I even use it to wash my clothes. Then you just need shampoo and conditioner. I use conditioner for shaving my legs and it make them really soft.

The LifeVenture stuff is good. I used it extensively whilst trekking in Bulgaria for six weeks. I used it for everything including washing food.

Also, I can recommend Lush in the UK, I am a bloke but they have a number of products that are well-suited to travelling so occassionally wander in there. The smell is a bit overpowering but quite pleasant whence you get used to it! The solid soap/shampoo bars are good and there is such a variety! Really useful for short trips where you only have hand luggage to take on the plane.

They have started selling solid toothpaste tablety things as well, which I am trialling at the moment, again, useful for flying and short trips. They don't need another water though taste a bit odd!
