We stayed in Ban Sithanu which was a half hour away from Full Moon Party. We stayed at Jungle Huts, nice bungalows for sure and around 350 baht. We purchased a round trip mini bus service for 300 baht to get us to Hat Rin and back. Thing is, I've heard of stories where people stay right on Hat Rin in a ghetto hut for 1500 baht and then all their stuff gets pillaged while they are gone. Alll the islands are amazing on the Andaman side, a lot of people really love Ko Lanta. Cheap place to stay in the town of Phuket is On On Hotel (this is where part of the Beach was filmed, it's not as awful as the movie portrays for the record and it was 200 baht).
