I am moving to Newcastle NSW from England in December.
Newcastle is about a 2.5 - 3 hour drive north of Sydney. Most people that live there really love it. There are some pretty good beaches there and about a 45 minute drive north of Newcastle is the beautiful Port Stephens area.
