winter trip

hey i m from delhi (india ) well i m planning to go abroad this year late december with my family ... i m confused where to .. so guys wat do u think which could be the best places to visit..???

Popular destinations for citizens from India are Bangkok, of course, Chiang Mai, Phuket and Pattaya. You see many Indian tourists, often in family groups, in Pattaya.

What you can do depends on how much time you have and how much money you want to spend.

My advice is to start in Bangkok first, even spend a final night there too. Some places like Pattaya you can reach by cheap bus or private taxi. Phuket, because of the distance - perhaps fly. Chiang Mai is not that close to Bangkok but some tourists prefer to take the sleeper train.

Plan a budget out. Decide how much you want to spend on a hotel room and if necessary ask for suggestions in that price range, Food is pretty cheap in Thailand unless you eat at expensive places. Hotels in all price ranges. (Phuket is the most expensive place to visit.) Transportation in Bangkok is pretty good. Besides the cheap meter taxis there is a good rail service too! The rail service even connects with the airport, subway and Ekamai bus station and popular places like Patpong, Sukhumvit, Siam, Chatuchak and MBK, etc. For taxis in Bangkok do not bargain the fare - use the meter and the ride is cheaper. The fare you pay is for everyone not per person.

December is the most expensive time to visit Thailand. Hotels can be fully booked especially closer to Christmas.

Good luck.

Forgot this. In Bangkok, Pattaya, Chiangmai and Phuket you can get tours through local travel agencies pretty easy. The travel agencies will have a list of popular tours to choose from. Before you leave on your holiday consult a couple travel guides on Thailand and see what interests you.

You should visit Dublin.... The Ireland's most beautiful place........
