Hi! I'm also going to Melbourne mid January :D I haven't booked anything yet, but I plan to start there, hopefully get some bar work, then maybe bus my way around the East coast! If you'd like to meet up on any part of your journey let me know it would be great to know someone when I land on the other side of the world haha
Hey ! Yeah sure that wld be awesome I was thinking abt doing the East coast too, but I just started looking into which cities I want to visit in Australia so Im not a 100% sure yet. Im from Montreal, Canada so its the other side of the wolrd for me too !
Where are u leaving from and how long are u planning to stay there for ?
I've got a working holiday visa so i'll be staying for a year. I'm leaving from Scotland Do you have an idea where you're going to stay or what sort of work you're going to do yet?
Don't go to Fiji first because in the month of Jan the weather can get naughty there. Otherwise you can plan accordingly.
Timtam, Im applying for a WHV too but I dont have anything specific in mind as to what kind of work Im going to do.. Depends on wat Ill be able to find, whether its restaurant, bar, office work (part time), doesnt matter, as long as i dont get stuck in a 9-5 routine !!
Im most prolly going to prebook 2 nights or so in a hostel for when I land and then start looking for an apartment from there. A friend might join me arnd the end of january, begining of february but its still not confirmed !
