Have you bought a through flight?? If so and its a 2 day transit in KL then you must have got a stopover flight - in which case you would have no problem leaving the airport (they can't expect you to kip in the airport lounge for 2 days!)
Not sure about baggage - check with your airline....with a 2 day transit, they might expect you to collect it, or they'll keep it checked in, so just put what you need for 2 days in your hand luggage. Doubtful they'd fly it ahead in this age of terrorism precautions
