Hi, we are going to be in Singapore for 10 days late june, early july, just wondered about tips on things to do and a nice hotel which is reasonably priced as we are on a budget and have no idea about the area
also whats it like for vegetarian food ?
any help would be much appreciated
I loved Night Safari at the Zoo, and visiting the beach resorts at Sentosa Island. You can get a cable car across to Sentosa which is pretty cool.
I found it was pretty easy to get around, and taxis were reasonably priced...

10 days is sufficient, you can do sight seeing, shopping and looking around.
the MRT train system is very convenient over here. you can go Orchard, chinatown, sentosa island, universal studio, vivo city, marina bay sands..esplanade..and more!
for accomdation, you may want to try hotel 81, or Ibis hotel. my friends stayed a hostel, backpacker hostel near bugis. i forget the name. you may check it out online.

I'm from Singapore. If you want cheap accommodation, you can try hostelworld.com for their info. Recenly Singapore just opened a universal studio at Sentosa island. You definitely must go there. Is best if you go on the weekend as they have special programs at night.
Do drop by at chinatown for their good seafood and chinese cuisine. You should go to the Marina bay sand hotel and casino where you can view the whole singapore city skyline from the hotel sky garden. The entrance fee is 20 SGD.
If you are a beer lover, you could head to Clark quay. All the popular bars and pubs are located there. If you want to get a taste of Singapore food, you could head to Geylang district.
If you like to hand out in a nature reserve, you could take ferry ride from to Singapore to Pulua Ubin island. You could rent a bicycle on the island. Is pretty fun and quiet and is the most scenic places in Singapore. Hope all this help
