Travel plans in Italy

I am planning a trip around Italy in early October, for about two weeks. I think it would make sense to start in Venice, as I will be coming from Munich (my friend is flying in from London, so she gets no choice), but where to from there?!

From London flights go to many destinations in Italy.

From Venice, west to Milan, south to Bologna, then Florence and west to Pisa. South to Siena, Rome, Naples and Capri, Pompeii.

Museums, galleries and the leaning tower can have long queues (notably the Uffizi gallery in Florence) but you can buy tickets online to save queuing.

To be honest, not a lot in Naples. Or Capri.

Hi, If you have the opportunity to book a flight from london to Florence, you could visit this beatiful city and also the countryside around ( chiantishire ecc...) -snip-

Than you can book a car and visit the countryside between Florence and Pisa near Montaione there is a Farm House in Shabby Eco Style where I stay last year with my boyfriend...a dream!!!

After Pisa you can Visit Siena and than go to Rome by Train a nd than to Naples, but I'm agree with Cyberia Naples is a greate city but you'll be there in October and it 'll be not the best period to visit that city!!

Bon Voyage

I think that the best think to do for you it's to book a flight to rome, visit the city than naples and pompei.
Than go up to Florence visit the city, Uffizi Gallery (remeber to book the tickets in advance) then a chiantishire tour and siena with san gimignano. Than from florence take a train a go to venice...and take the flight to go back from here.

For any suggestion or official turistic guide, and also for the chiantishire tour contact this agency...for me the best in quality and price: -snip-

Contact them also to book in advace the ticket for uffizi agllery and the trasfert from - to the airport.

having fun!

Last September we started in Rome (3 days) then Florence and 5 days in Tuscany region, and finally Venice. Wish we had more time in Venice. Rome & Florence are big cities and similar. I suggest picking one. Pisa was ok but very touristy. Sienna was better.

There is a small city east of Venice Italy called Trieste, a must see even though its not a big name, i found it absolutely stunning.
