Hello world;
I'd recommend getting to Koh Pha Ngan a few days before the Full Moon Party as the build up down the beach every night is almost as good as Full Moon itself.
I'd also recommend visiting Koh Phi Phi. And Krabi is a good spot to base yourself for a few days where you can do a few decent day trips.
If you're looking to meet like-minded people then The Rock is a very sociable hostel on Koh Phi Phi (as long as you don't mind roughing it) and Pak Up Hostel is an excellent hostel in Krabi which again is a good spot for meeting other backpackers.
Cheers Emmett70, currently have booked accomdation 6-15th in Phuket and 28th-4th in Haad Rin for the FML.
Koh Phi Phi The Rock looks good, ill check it out on arrival - thanks.
Krabi Pak Up Hostel has been reccommended by many and is on the list too.
I will suggest you to also visit Malaysia, if you do enjoy to see various cultural activities in Malaysia, i think you will like this place
