Hi, im looking at taking a break from my busy job in February 2013 to visit Thailand for couple weeks then onto Australia, im going alone, really excited about it but also a little nervous and wondering whats the best way to go about it? would organised tours be best and if so who are the best to book with?
hello! I am doing exactly the same thing. I have booked flights to bangkok landing in jan 2013 then doing two tours organised tours around asia as travelling on my own and then landing in melbourne at the end of feb 2013. not booked anything in aus have heard you meet people straight away so was going to just book a few days in a hostel and hope! I have 6 weeks in aus and just hoping that is enough time to get up the east coast to cairns.
Have you booked anything yet? I only went for organised tours in asia from a safety side of things and thought i would get more out of it with seeing the culture etc. I booked my tours through STA they were really helpful.

hey, im landing in melbourne 15th march, going on my own so its a bit exciting! planning on staying at base hostel in st kilda near melbourne. havent planned anything from there on! just gona go with it. hopefully do thailand on the way back

Hi ,sarah! unable to add you on facebook cuz of ur privace settings i guess, i was a shaky traveller full of insecurities about travelling alone(perhaps just like you) but then i took my first solo trip last year and i dont know if you would believe this but i have done 3 trips to thailand in d last one year! you just need to be open minded and you will find many like minded people as you travel along i will be doing thailand again for new years or something..let me know your dates
