Hi,
Hallo Jonny,
we are flying to Zagreb on the 1. of August. Another way is to get a bus to Zadar. They are many and they are drinving to Zadar, Rijeka a.s.o. It takes about 3 hours to get to Zadar. I wrote somewhere beccause of robbery that it is a little bit more dangerous to take a train trough Crotia.
Hope that I could help you a little bit. Good luck!!!
Best regards,
Sue
Hi, Jonny,
A) the easiest and cheapest way to get from Zagreb to Sibenik is by bus. Here's the link to . You should start typing "Sibenik" in the "To" line, and you'll get 2 places as autocomplete: pick the first one "Sibenik" (it will have S with a small "v" on top).
If you need help with the search, let me know the exact date you'll be leaving from Zagreb to Sibenik.
B) I'll look into the information regarding the Venice-Zagreb connection, will get back to you in a day or so (but I'm not making any promises - some places are almost too well connected, and some are like three continents removed, instead of just across a border ).
I've found some info for the Venezia-Zagreb part.
There appears to be a (actually, it's a Rome-Zagreb, with a stop in Venezia). It goes on Saturdays (and that's August 4th), starts from Venezia at 16:50 p.m. and arrives in Zagreb at 22:50 p.m. I don't know the price, but you should contact , and ask about the price and how to buy the ticket, since it's their bus line. Or, you can contact the Central Bus Station in Venezia.
(Mods, please don't delete the links, they're not "promos"!)
Best regards,
Ana Marija

If you travel on the route to Zagreb from Venice, you might check options to travel with regular trains first to Trieste and onward to the border with Slovenia, and from there to Ljubljana. I payed just 15 euros (12 GBP) from Ljubljana to Zagreb and Ljubljana definately is worth a visit. I guess by regular daytime trains it is not that expensive to get from Venice to Ljubljana.
If you travel Zagreb to Sibenik via Plitvice, you can just go to Plitvice first. It is 2,5 hours from Zagreb, visit the national park, spend the night and take a bus to Sibenik the next day. Buses travel from Plitvice to Split via Zadar and Sibenik. It is about 4 hours or so to Sibenik, as it is not the most direct route.
