Fiji- best to do your own thing?

I've got two weeks in Fiji at the end of my 6 months travelling. I think I will pretty shattered by then so want to relax, but also want to see what Fiji has to offer. Seeing as I will be on my own, I'm really unsure whether to book something beforehand, say with Awesome Adventures? (heard mixed reviews about them), or whether to just work it all out when I get there. Any thoughts? Thanks.

I went with Awesome Adventures and didn't have any complaints about them. They were well organised and it was hassle-free travelling with them. If you want to relax it might be a good idea to book something in advance as that takes the stress away from you in terms of the planning. are also supposed to be good - they concentrate on the culture more than the beaches as far as I know.

do you remember which trip you did with them and how long for? yeah i've been looking into feejee experience too. how many islands did you get to see with awesome?

I've just checked on their website and the exact tour I did doesn't appear to run anymore (I went in 2005) but my tour was 6 days/5 nights and we stayed on 3 different islands: Nanuya, Naviti and Kuata.

the more I look into it, the better it sounds...I don't want to be stuck without any options. might go for the 7days/6 night one. thanks for your input!
