So, while the memories and hangovers are still fresh in your minds!!....where's good to spend Xmas and new year in Australia? Sydney is the most obvious choice but is it over-rated? How about other places.... Melbourne maybe? Open to less obvious suggestions!!!
Don't head to Queensland for as that time of the year it is the rainy season and at the moment we are having massive flooding up north.
Maybe you should look at these options, Port Macquarie, Byron Bay, Coffs or Wollongong and the south coast which is only located 70 km from Sydney and has the best stunning beaches.
I am a local girl and I had the best NYE in the gong,and totally enjoyed the fireworks and it's cheap and easy option with out having your hand in your pocket all the time.
