I am not sure if I am going the opposite way to a lot of travellers in Oz, but thats too late now! 19 yr old female travelling solo for the first time, so a bit nervous! I've got a greyhound pass from cairns to melbourne, I didn't like the sound of Oz experience. I also want to go to alice springs for a few days but not sure how to go about it. any ideas? ps if anyone else is doing a similar trip around the same time, let me know!
hey im also doing the east coast not untill august though. but from what ive been told from people you are best starting from cairns and working way down. and i was also told that greyhound is a much better pass to get aswell so your doing 2 things right! as for the alice springs bit im not to sure but it is a fair trot from the coast though. where are you flying into?

ah that's good to know! Yeah I know it is really far from the coast. Just really want to go there, seeing as I don't know when i'll ever get to be in oz again seems odd not to go. I'm flying from bangkok into cairns. I have no itinerary planned at all, all I have is my greyhound pass! scary
