Me and a friend are heading out to australlia at the end of September, were really excited but nervous at the same time, were worried about where to go and hoping we make friends out there, we were advised to go to melbourne and to stay in hostels first, we really want to enjoy our first few weeks before we try get work, we are looking for any advise on where to go and where I stay

I'm heading out to Oz for New Year, around 28th Dec. I'm really excited but nervous too as it's a bit daunting going to the other side of the world on your own but hear loads of people do it and hoping to make lots of friends and just have a laugh.
Planning on going to Sydney then work my way up east coast staying in hostels n that. I haven't got any plan other than that, kinda wanna see what people are doing out there in the hostels i'm staying at and then see if we can all tag onto each other.

Yeah we're pretty much thinkin of doing the same, gonna head to Melbourne and start there just because it was recommended... Are u plannin on getting work? I'm 23 she's 24 how about u? hope were doin the right thing be nice for us to make more friends tho

am new to this, I am thinking of going to oz as well in around October ish and am in need of a travel buddy it would be great to meet other people who are in the same boat as you. If you don't mind me asking, would you be interested in going together am not so sure about going on my own !
