Krakow, Vienna, Prague??! which to choose

Good day travelers!

I vote Prague. Slightly more interesting than Vienna and cheaper.

I´ve never been to Prague so can´t speak about it from my own experience.

I used to leave in Krakow for many years and can assure You that it´s worth seeing.

It´s also true that Vienna is quite expensive. You´ve got good overnight train connection between Krakow and Prague and all the people from Czech Republic I´ve met were very nice, so even though I´ve never been there would recommend seeing those two cities and leaving Vienna for other trip.

Not been to Krakow, but between Vienna and Prague I would agree with Prague. It's a lot cheaper than Berlin and fairly well connected by train. I got the train from Berlin and it was a lovely journey. The trains do then go down to Vienna though.

It depends what you want to do there, Prague has a good few tourist attractions and bars, etc. I would say there is probably more to keep you interested there than Vienna. You are also likely to get more for your money in accommodation in Prague. But the ice cream in Vienna is fantastic!

Krakow, Krakow, Krakow!!! Great place and not very expensive. Sleepy university town with good bars, young crowd and a long history! Prague is kinda over-rated. Vienna is good too but quite expensive. If you have to pick just one, go for Krakow. It is also well served by low cost carriers like RyanAir and Polish trains are decent enough as well

I would say Prague for sure! It is like a quintessential European city. Much more happening than Vienna, which I found more than a bit posh, although that of course depends on where you go in the city. Prague is a lot more laid back and fun than Vienna, but it still has excellent restaurants, tons of performing arts and classical music, and wonderful cafés. Overall it's just a better experience because Vienna can seem a little too elegant at times.

We've been to all three cities many times and I would choose Prague.

You can find train routes on the Eurail site

The German railways website is very good for timetables all over europe

Good luck !

ditto to the Krakow guy - both Prague and Vienna are overrated and so not cheap
