Everyone!
Hello, I want to know the ins and out about crossing borders between Venezuela and Colombia.
I'm a U.S citizen and want to arrive to Venezuela by plane, are there any requirements, tourist cardsother things. WIll go to Colombia by bus, what is required to enter colombia?
How much is it to enter Vebezuela?
Thanks!!
US Citizens don't require a Visa to enter either Venezuela or Colombia as a Tourist. That said, for those kind of questions you should always confirm any info by going to the Embassy website instead of trusting what someone tells you on an anonymous Internet discussion forum.
For Venezuela you'll be issued a Tourist card upon arrival - make sure the Immigration official stamps it - and for Colombia you have to pay an exit tax if you're leaving by airplane.
Have fun.
Cheers,
Terry
I have been there and crossed border in both ways by bus.
Lotta of military checkpoints, every 15 minutes, especially from Colombia to Venezuela.
US citizens , i think in the same way as i have seen other us in bolivia and peru', are supposed to pay from 60 to 120 Us dollars, and from Colombia to Venezuela, takes a lot of time in the border line, custom only costs almost 15 US bucks.
