Good evening from the UK!
.
Have fun. Vancouver is lovely, as is Vancouver Island, the west coast and Western Canada.
Cheers,

We are very much looking forward to visiting Vancouver Island! I think our plan is to book into a hostel for the first few days and explore the area, then rent and RV for three months to explore the wilds!
We would like to be able to work along the way but I must admit Im confused by the visa requirements? I have heard you can stay and work for 60 days without a specific visa, however haven't found anything that substantiates this....
Still in the researching I knew bugger all stage!
"... I have heard you can stay and work for 60 days without a specific visa..."
I doubt that. Is there any country in the world where a foreigner can legally work without some kind of documentation? Look at the link I supplied...
Cheers,
Terry
No your right my bad,
I can visit without a visa, but need to apply while there for work and obtain a work visa that way. Luckily my profession is listed as required so I shouldn't have any trouble.
Keep in mind that economic realities are tough all over, although Canada's economy is way better than most, especially in centres like Alberta which is booming.
Good luck.
Cheers,
Terry
Exploring the wild will be a challenge before mid May -weather will be damp/cold and most facilities closed or still under snow.
The further you head into the mountains the later spring happens much of the Rockies for instance stays frozen well into May and I mean FROZEN!!!.
So heading to the Island first is probably your best bet.
