asia staying with local families

hi everyone, i have started looking into spending 3 months in and around se asia. i just trying to work out some sort of budget and started looking into accomadation. i know it can be fairly cheap or as cheap as u want it to be. i quite like the idea of travelling around but staying with local families in the own house where you pay them each day for a room, like a real travel experience. does anyone know a website where you can do this sort of thing?

me again!
just to add, if anyone knows a company or website similiar to what i asked for, but maybe where u can crash in someones house or appartment, maybe like in bangkok where i can stay with someone for a few days. i think it would be a good idea as i could help out the thai person with money and meet new friends!

Hi there,

I know you have mention that you would like to see Thailand and stay with a local family. I am just wondering if you have been to Nepal, home to the highest Mountains on Earth Mt. Everest and birth place of Lord Buddha. If you are interested in this part of Earth then i can help! We are only couple of hours of flight away from Thiland!

yes i am looking into that part of the world!

Hi there,

That's fantastic! Well, i am not sure what sort of links and information that i can put here. How can we communicate outside this forum? Any suggestion. You can find me on facebook,
emailing suits me best too, as i am not a regular visitor to this site.

You can stay with my family or once you get here, there are loads of local families you can choose from here in Chiti vdc, Lamjung, Nepal. You can help us with our organic garden, chickens, our day to day schedule too! You can stay with us for few days or spent your entire time here. We are also on the way of major trekking trails, so if you wish you can explore our beautiful country on foot for days, staying in local tea houses or family too. There are loads of things you can do here.
