My question is has anyone been there at this time of the year and is it that bad??
Tourists visit Thailand every month of the year. Some tourists prefer the rainy season because hotels are cheaper. Keep in mind that Thailand is larger than the UK. One area may have rain and another area no rain at the same time or for several days. Most of the time the rain stops in an hour or two.

You do get more tourists during December to February when weather is a little better but also because in North America and Northern Europe it is freezing!
