Going to learn spanish in Spain

aniaPL has indicated that this thread is about Spain

Hi Ania,

I will be travelling to Malaga in November to learn Spanish like you. I will be travelling solo as well, so if you're up for it, let's travel together!

Hey drop me a line and we can exchange ideas, suggestions on schools and where to go.

Looking forward to hear from you!

Hi Guys,

great idea! Did it myself a few years ago and I loved it. Stayed for about 8 weeks in Malaga. Lovely city. Great nightlife, nice beaches, nice people and I learned a lot of Spanish. There are many schools in malaga that offer those courses.
I went to one that is in the centre of town Its a small school and the teachers were great. I met some spanish students in the same school that wanted to practise english and went out with them over the weekend. I saw Seville only in an excursion, but that was enough for me. I prefer Malaga as a city.

If you need any advice about Malaga, just let me know

Hasta Luego!

Bas

Hola,

My name is Steven and I am the director of Babylon Idiomas. We have language schools in various cities and I'd definitely consider Sevilla. It is the capital of Andalusia and one of the most interesting cities in Spain.
Let me know what you think. Whatever destination you choose, have fun!

Hi.. The place you mentioned luvworld and you Steven (you spammer you! cost MUCH more than where I booked! God Ive saved a fortune!

Well, unlike the majority of people posting on this forum, our policy at Babylon Idiomas is to be truthful and declare who we are. Quite the opposite of spamming.

I'll also be travelling solo in Spain. I'm not sure where I'll be staying, but I'm in the process of finding a host family.

I know the basics of Spanish, maybe enough to get around.

Any suggestions or hot tips on going into Spain with little or no knowledge of the language?

And thank you for that (although I certainly don't agree the majority of the people posting here are not being truthful!). The person that called you a spammer has just been inactivated and most posts deleted.... crafty spammer he was!

Hi!!!
And wow!!! My first message is still here and people are reading it???

Well, Im back and I did a Spanish course - in Malaga. What a great city! Thanks to people on here and other forums for advice I think I chose the right place, school, etc etc. It was perfect and I cant put in words.

In 4 weeks I learned a really lot of Spanish and I think I can say I have conversations and understand alot. I think I need one more trip (at least 4 weeks) to becomoe REALLY good. But the language seems easy to learn and with the teachers I had it was even easier.

I am happy to tell you of my experiences - but reading the messages here Im not sure I can tell you names of schools or compny where I found the school?
Ania :-)
