Does anyone know if it is possible to travel from Europe to the US by working on a container ship or other cargo ship? I would like to arrive on the east coast sometime in October. I could leave from just about anywhere in Europe. Ideally, I'd like to land as close to Boston as possible. Thanks!

Why not apply in a cruise ship job instead? I mean it will go around the world and you can check out all cruise ships and see their trips to see if they will dock on the port of the place that you wanted to visit. the pay is almost the same but you can get to meet people in cruises and you can even save more with the tips that you can earn..
