This was flagged for attention of a moderator. It's on the line of what we allow, but since Leah has been a member for a while, and has been actively contributing to the forum, I'm of the opinion that it should be allowed. Am snipping the contact email address and CC-ing the overlords as an extra check, though.
In general, I'd advice anyone tempted by this offer to be extremely cautious with buying purported flights off someone else they only know through the internet. I do believe that Leah's outlined procedure for acquiring the ticket is a sound one which should help people feel confident.
Noticed it earlier and thought the same as you Sander. As it's Leah, we leave it up.
Hi guys, thanks for trusting me and leaving the post up.
I had a lot of interest in the flight from elsewhere so rang the travel co to find out more about changing names... It turns out you can't do that on these kind of flights. Doh! (You can on package holidays.)
The good news is, though, I got a full refund bar the £50 cancellation fee!
They really didn't make all that clear in the T&Cs and I could have ended up losing out big time by selling the flight for less than it was worth, but all's well that ends well.
Thinking it might be good to leave this thread up for the benefit of others who book flights then can't go...
Cheers!
Leah.
