hey guys, im looking to travel austrailia for a year in sept, starting in syney with family, and then travellign round, this is the first time of travellign anywhere alone and im quite scared as not sure what to do or where to go to benefit the most-
All I can say is having done my first travelling last yr in Thailand on my own, it is an unbelievable experience! Don't fear it....just look forward to it!
Oh and if you happen to be in Melbourne between July and God knows when...give me a shout! I am landing there in July and who knows....might stay there and work...move on...who knows? that's the genius of travelling! Good luck!
Hiya thanks for advice. Yeah ill def be going melbourne at some point. Im just scared as to where to go haha. I have fam in sydney so im flying there then will be moving on i think.

Don't forget to drop in at the Blue Mountains while you're in Sydney, September is a nice time to visit.

I might be going alone. Depends....my mate has a girlfriend he lives with who he hasn't told yet.....so I am not yet counting my chickens there! ha.
But I am not in any way bothered if I do it alone. I would love for him to share the experience, but to be honest, this happened last time I went abroad. My mate was supposed to be travelling round Thailand with me but his new job told him he had to train just days before I was set to meet him there. It just made it all that bit more exciting! haha.
If meeting people is what you are worried about, trust me...there is no need to worry there. It is easy to meet hundreds of people on your travels and there's always someone in the same boat as you.
I don't know a thing about anywhere in Oz. But that doesn't bother me at all. I just heard Melbourne was cool...so that's where I am flying to. everything else will be a mystery haha
