How can I ship my car to the States and what do I need to do prior to that?
Has anybody done it?
How much was it?
Is it possible to travel inside the car or I need to fly and wait for my car there?

Please provide a bit more information - such as the country where the car will be located when you plan to ship it. Without that much, members will not be able to give you answers that will be useful. Shipping from the UK will be completely different than say shipping from South America.
Some transoceanic shipping lines do allow you to book passage on the same cargo vessel. But, I would be very surprised if they let you "travel inside the car". The car will be contained in the hold with other vehicles and possible other cargo.
