hi guys and girls,me and my good friend are returning to thaialnd in a few weeks time,is it firtly possible to book tickets for the vip bus over the net and secondly im pretty sure there is a vip bus from bangkok to phuket but not where it stops once in phuket,is it possible to get droppped off at the end of bangla road???does anybody know..thanks,
Once you are in Phuket what difference does it make if you have to shell out a few baht to continue the journey? If you have items stored under the bus they may be reluctant to stop and unload everyone else's bags. By the way, make sure you do not store any money, passport, valuables such as electronics, etc. in the stored bag! Keep money, passport and valuables near or on your person!
Be aware that there are some scams involved with bus bookings, especially from the Khao San Road area.

"Beware of private bus companies offering direct trips from Bangkok to other cities with VIP buses. There are a lot of scams performed by some private bus companies. The so-called direct VIP trips may end up changing three or four uncomfortable minibuses to the destination, the 10-11 hours trip may be 17-18 hours. Try to book public BKS buses from the main bus terminals. Also, keep your valuables with you when on any bus. Some scams involve rifling through your luggage while the bus is actually en-route."
hey,thanks for your help and advice...
i spent 3 months in thailand last winter so am pretty aware of the scams and stuff that go on out there,i will be be budgeting abit more this time so want to cut back a little on unnecessary taxi trips and stuff..500 baht here and there adds up so am trying to be a little more strict with my spending this time!!it wouldnt be the end of the world if i had to get a taxi from phuket town but was just curious as to whether the bus went past bangla road..im pretty sure theres a 07.30am bus from the southern bus terminal in bkk so will hopefully be getting that one if all goes to plan!!
