I am a british citizen going to canada this year on a Working Holiday Visa and would like to arrange work before I leave. Does anyone have any idea where to look for work? Ive already seen seasonal and full time positions available in resorts etc, but I have a degree and it would be great to get a job in my field (PR, Marketing and Journalism) Im just wondering if a) employers would employ someone on a WHV for this kind of position and b) are there any specific websites to look at. There doesnt seem to be much info on the web about any of this. thanks in advance!
For the most part the big city's would be the best place to start. I would have to recommend Vancouver, Calgary and Toronto. also Montreal if you speak french.
you might even try up north say... Whitehorse sometimes it is easier to get journalism jobs in the far north.
To find a job I would say check monster.ca or workopolis or craigs list.
other then that it might be easier to take a job at a resort so you know you have something and then find something else once you get here.
