Back in 1993, I was convicted of writing a bad check and was put on inactive probation for 1 year - no jail time served. This charge has since been expunged from my record.
Thousands of US citizens each day travel with minor arrest records. As long as you have your passport, I would not worry about it. The US has shared its data base with a few countries, but I doubt Barbados is one of them. I think they will be happy you are visiting their country and going to spend your money there. Relax, enjoy the beach, take a swim, get a tan. Good luck to you.

Thank you vegasmike. Do you think I need to contact the consulate to ensure it's okay?
No just go and enjoy, it has been expunged from your record, if you were a Felon on database they would not have issued you a US Passport, you do require a Passport now to go back and forth to the Caribbean from USA. Also Canada and Mexico.
Thanks dbloom. I appreciate your response.
it is a good question though.. while you may have been charged a number of years ago, it's no longer on your record. As long as you have a valid passport, which is needed, there really shouldn't be an issue.

Thanks for replying Sunniebg.
