Hi, I'm doing the same, having a few weeks in Malaysia first then off to Brisbane end of Sep. I was thinking of working my way up to Cairns and sailing the Whitsundays, but don't really have any plans as such...anyone got any ideas or any must does along the way??!

I'm going to be landing in Cairns and working down East Coast, hopefully ending up in Brisbane around mid to end of October. Hoping to pick up some work there.
Whitsundays, Fraser Island, Sunshine Coast, Barrier reef, white water rafting, Port Douglas - quite a bit to do along the way!

Hey im going to Brisbane around the 24th of sep.
I plan to stay there to work for 6 months and then move on down to sydney. (sydney for Australia day then back to Brisbane)
If anyone has any tips on how much money you need etc, it would be pretty cool.

I'm heading to Brisbane in the middle of september on my own.. Have family over there so I'm planning on staying with them for a while until I find some work ( hopefully it won't be too long!) once I get sorted i'm hoping to rent out a place if anyone is interested in getting a place in Brisbane and looking to make friends.
Been to Oz twice before and by far Brisbane/ The Gold Coast are the best places to live I think. It can be quite expensive over there but the good thing is minimum wage is very high so it kinda balances out. I'm heading over with about €5000 which is roughly $7000. Should be more then enough to last a good while.

Hey Aidan. ive just booked my flights. im looking at hostels for the first few weeks but depending on a job renting would be pretty cool.
I land in brisbane on the 27th. When are you looking to get there?

Hey guys,
I land in Brisbane on the 17th of August, I'm so scared! I have my first two weeks booked in a hostel and from there I have NO idea where I'm going! I plan on travelling up to Cairns! I'm going alone and the closer its getting the more scared I'm becoming!
If any one has any advice please do share :-)
